Donate to charities instead of expensive gifts for customers

Luxury Christmas gifts for customers are becoming obsolete. Companies are increasingly choosing to donate to charities and support organisations instead of giving gifts to customers. According to Sandra Masevičienė, Head of Fundraising at the association "Raudonos Nosys Gydytojai klounai", such donations are often transformed into long-term cooperation and team-building activities.

“We strive to maintain a warm relationship with partners who believe in the power of positive emotions and want to contribute to the emotional transformation that clowns bring about. A long-term friendship isn’t just one-sided; it’s a two-way street. Companies provide financial support and become ambassadors—spreading the word both in the public sphere and within their organizations. Meanwhile, “Red Noses” contributes to the emotional well-being of our partners’ employees. We have formats specifically designed for companies—our instructors lead clowning workshops, we give presentations on the impact of humor, and we create opportunities for people to experience the clown effect firsthand by organizing clown visits to companies. “Over the course of our 14 years of operation, our circle of supporters has grown, and it’s heartening that more and more people recognize the importance of emotional hygiene—and, at the same time, the presence of clown doctors in places where it might seem awkward to laugh,” shares S. Masevičienė.

According to Egidijus Langis, managing partner and attorney at the law firm AVOCAD , for several years in a row now, the budget set aside for client gifts has been allocated to those who need it most.  “This year, we decided to contribute to the mission of the clown doctors and bring smiles to sick children and the elderly. A smile helps overcome difficulties, and the ability to laugh at even the most difficult situations only shows how strong we are,” notes the attorney.

According to Egidijus Langis, giving and supporting others not only provide a sense of satisfaction from a job well done, but also strongly unite the team; sometimes it turns into a very enjoyable experience and frees us from the constraints of our profession. “The legal profession is particularly bound by ethical standards and stereotypes shaped by society. And we ourselves often get so caught up in our daily work, the competitive environment, and the routine of applying the law that we forget our true values. Collaborating with clown doctors reminded us that the beauty of life begins with a smile, which inspires joy in others, and all it takes is sincere attention,” notes E. Langys while presenting the joint video project.

According to “Red Noses,” corporate donations vary in amount—ranging from €50 to €20,000, with an average of around €300. All funds are allocated to creating emotional change in children’s hospitals, senior care homes, and refugee centers. The Red Nose is the smallest mask in the world; like a sponge, it can absorb sadness, heartache, and anger... Perhaps that’s why it’s so soft. It can also create the sweetest smile or the loudest laugh that everyone in the ward will hear. “Red Noses: Clown Doctors” has been active for 14 years and has brought joy to more than 220,000 Lithuanian children and seniors.
